Shipping

Processing time: Pre-made items will ship within 1-3 business days after the order is placed (this does not include Saturday and Sunday). Made-to-order items will ship according to the individual item's stated lead time.

Estimated delivery time: Delivery time will depend on where the product is shipping to and which shipping method is chosen at checkout. In most cases, this may be anywhere from a few days to a week or more.

Tracking information will be provided at the time your order ships out. For large orders of $200 or more, a signature will be required upon delivery.

My default shipping option is via USPS priority mail. If a different shipping carrier or expedited shipping is requested, please contact me prior to placing your order to make these arrangements.

NOTE: Due to the current shipping conditions brought about by the pandemic, I am neither liable for nor responsible for any delays in transit. Shipping companies have stated they are not able to consistently meet their guarantees for shipping times, so even expedited shipping may be delayed. Please take this into consideration when placing your order.

I regularly keep track of customer’s shipments to ensure they will arrive in a timely manner. If your package becomes stuck in transit longer than anticipated, I will follow up with both you the customer as well as the tracking company, including starting an investigation or putting a trace on your package to determine its location and get it back on its way to you. In the rare instance that the trace or investigation cannot determine your package’s location or determines that your package has been lost, replacements may be sent out after the trace or investigation is concluded.

Products

Leather is a natural material and as such, it may have its own unique markings. These are known as range marks and can include brands, cuts, scrapes, and bug bites among many others. These marks enhance the uniqueness of any leather item, making it truly one of a kind. Due to the handmade nature of these products, they may have small cosmetic imperfections that should in no way affect the integrity of the item. Image colors may differ slightly from the product you receive depending on monitor or screen settings.

Returns

If you are unsatisfied with your order and need to return an item for any reason, please use a tracked service as I am not able to provide a refund unless items are returned in good condition. It is the buyer’s responsibility to file a claim with their shipping company for any returned items that are lost or damaged in transit. Custom made items cannot be returned. 

Damaged Products

If you receive damaged items, please contact me within 7 days of receipt. With all damaged items, I will need a photo/photos of the damage so that I can view the damage with you. The damage may have occurred during shipping. I will need to file a claim with the carrier and work with them to determine the cause of damage, what needs to be replaced, etc. The shipping company may choose to make an inspection to determine if the damage occurred during shipping. Because of that, damaged items must remain in their original box and set aside for inspection just in case. I will continue to work with you to resolve the issue, and resolution may be determined on a case by case basis.

Privacy Policy

Modern Day Shield Maiden respects your privacy and pledges to earn and keep your trust. All personal information you give me is kept confidential and protected with the utmost care and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented. Additionally, I will not sell any of your information to a third party. By using this website, you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. Occasionally, we track the Internet address of the domains from which people visit us and analyze this data for trends and statistics, but the individual user remains anonymous.

Contacting Me

While I am trying to make my leathercrafting hobby into a full-time business, I am not there yet. Currently I still hold a Day Job that has a very strict phone policy and is also located in a dead zone so if you contact me during the week, it is unlikely I will be able to respond quickly (especially on Tuesdays when I work 8am to 7pm). That said, once I am able to respond to you, I will do so as soon as possible. I apologize in advance for this, but it’s the best I can do.
